Exciting news! A historic agreement has been reached in the Northwest Territories, marking an unprecedented scale of collaboration. ‘Our Land for the Future’ brings together 22 Indigenous Governments, the Government of Canada, the Government of the Northwest Territories, and private donors, and will lead to a $375 million investment in Indigenous-led conservation in the NWT.

The initiative is a new model for the world – one that will not only support Indigenous stewardship but also build a strong sustainable economy for the North.  Congratulations to everyone involved in the project!
