The coronavirus pandemic fundamentally disrupted every aspect of American life. Now, two years after the beginning of a once-in-a-generation pandemic, an economic downturn, racial-justice uprisings, and reform proposals, how far have we moved the needle on equity in America?
Building off of The Atlantic‘s legacy of explicating and illuminating American ideals, we’re producing a series of conversations that will measure the intent versus the impact of the proposals to address systemic inequities for marginalized communities. And we’ll convene advocates, practitioners, economists, policy makers, and others to outline the additional efforts needed to create a more equitable America.
