A documentary on the last five years of Colin Kaepernick’s life could be coming to Disney soon. Disney and Kaepernick’s production company — RA Vision Media — signed a “first look” deal, ESPN announced Monday.
That means Disney will have the first right of refusal on certain Kaepernick projects. If the Disney likes what RA Vision Media produces, it will air the company’s content on Disney platforms. Disney owns both ESPN and ABC, among many other networks.
The first project Kaepernick’s company will work on is a documentary series on the last five years of Kaepernick’s life. It will cover Kaepernick’s final season with the San Francisco 49ers and his attempts to hook on with another team. Three ESPN employees will produce the series, as will former ESPN host Jemele Hill.
