This International Center for MultiGenerational Legacies of Trauma webinar is held in observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. International panelists will share and discuss efforts in their own countries and communities to address this worldwide unremitting scourge, the unique cultural and historical context of their initiatives, the challenges they have faced, the failures and successes they have experienced in the process and lessons they have learned.

Raquel Schlosser, PhD
A Mexican psychologist and founder of the Institute of Transgenerational Studies (IET), Raquel created the academic discipline of Transgenerational Psychology to address the long-term effects of violence in Mexico. With over 45 years of international work, she has led community-based programs on gender, trauma, and peacebuilding in Latin America, trained professionals worldwide, and developed educational models that integrate psychology, social justice, and collective memory.
Adeeba Murad
An Ezidi survivor of the 2014 genocide/ISIS captivity from the Shingal region in Iraq, recently relocated to Australia with her family, member of the Ezidi Survivors Network and the Shingal Platform for Open Discussion, Adeeba is deeply committed to advocating for her community and for all women who face oppression around the world. Upon her release from captivity, she earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Catholic University in Erbil.
Rosy Auguste Ducéna
A lawyer, member of the Port-au-Prince Bar, member of the Nègès Mawon Advisory Council, Rosy chaired the “Together Against Corruption” platform (June 2024 – November 2025). A program officer at the Haitian human rights organization Réseau National de Défense des Droits Humains (RNDDH), she coordinates its training and monitoring of state institutions activities as well as human rights investigations, including the situation of women in areas affected by armed violence.
Ayelet Razin Bet-Or
Ayelet Razin Bet-Or is an Israeli lawyer and gender-violence expert with deep experience in criminal justice, policy design, and survivor-centered advocacy. As former Director of Israel’s Authority for the Advancement of Women and co-founder and former member of the Dinah Project, she has led national and international efforts to document, analyze, and advance recognition of the sexual and gender-based crimes committed on October 7, bringing trauma-informed expertise to global forums.

Jackline Nasiwa
Jackline Nasiwa is the Founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Governance, Peace and Justice (CIGPJ), a non-profit advancing human rights, civic engagement, and inclusive governance in South Sudan. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, a Master’s in International Law, and trained in peace negotiations. A committed civil rights activist and PILPG Senior Peace Fellow, she promotes women’s leadership, transitional justice, and legal empowerment. She has briefed the UN Security Council, supported national reform processes, and is a recipient of major human rights and women’s rights defender awards.
Halyna Skipalska
Human rights and gender equality advocate with over 20 years of leadership experience. As Country Director of HealthRight International in Ukraine and Executive Director of the Ukrainian Foundation for Public Health, Halyna advances access to health and protection for vulnerable groups. Halyna has led national Gender-Based Violence reforms and humanitarian programs since 2022. In 2023, she received the Voices of Courage Award. She holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences.

A Clinical psychologist, traumatologist, victimologist and psychohistorian, Dr. Danieli is Founder, Executive Director and Senior Representative to the United Nations of the International Center for MultiGenerational Legacies of Trauma (ICMGLT); Director, Group Project for Holocaust Survivors and their Children and Past-President, International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.
