Internment camp survivor Tadashi Tsufura dies at 89 of coronavirus

Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers the life well-lived of Tadashi Tsufura, who was forced to live in an internment camp at age 12 with his family for two years during World War II. He went on to become a school superintendent in New York City. His wife, Mabel, contracted the coronavirus and was hospitalized. Tsufura also became ill, and they died five days apart last month in New York City. He was 89 years old.
