Abstract

Theoretical background: Discrimination is a psychological stressor for migrants and increases the likelihood of mental illnesses. This cross-sectional online survey examined the frequency of experiences of verbal violence in institutions (VVI) and discrimination among voluntary migrants and refugees (N = 525) in Germany, as well as their association with mental health.
