Model Legislative Provisions for Victims of Terrorism

The International Center for the Study, Prevention and Treatment of  MultiGenerational Legacies of Trauma (www.icmglt.org) is celebrating today’s launch of the Model Legislative Provisions for Victims of Terrorism: As advisor on victims of terrorism to the office of the then-Secretary-General, BAN Ki-moon, ICMGLT Founder Dr. Yael Danieli, helped organize the first Symposium on Supporting Victims of Terrorism at United Nations headquarters in New York in December of 2008.  She also served as expert in the process of creating the Model Legislative Provision for Victims of Terrorism, among others.  This is a milestone moment for victims of terrorism worldwide. The Model Legislative Provisions aim to provide guidance to Member States, ensuring that the national comprehensive assistance plans are anchored in legal frameworks.
