I don’t know what it was exactly about Hagar Shezaf’s article that broke me. The article described a visit by thousands of Israelis, organized by the Samaria Regional Council, to an archaeological site dubbed “Joshua’s altar on Mount Ebal,” which is located in Area B – the part of the West Bank under Israeli security control but Palestinian civilian control.
